Architect / Project Architect
We are seeking creative, energetic team players who are passionate about design to grow our multi-studio practice. Candidates must be graduates of accredited architecture programs with 3-10 years of experience and licensure in process or completed. Professional growth opportunities are available in our aviation, academic, civic/cultural, lifestyle, and workplace studios. Strong communication skills and a sound working knowledge of architecture principles are essential.

 

Primary Roles and Responsibilities include:

  • Working closely, on a day-to-day basis, with the project designer, project manager, and other team members
  • Developing project documents during the design, bidding, and construction phases
  • Coordinating the drawing work of the design team
  • Coordinating the efforts of the specialized consultants
  • Communicating the project related issues and decisions to the client
  • Assisting with project presentations to the client and others as required
  • Meeting established project budgets and schedules
  • Implementing the project quality control measures
  • Coordinating with the construction team, on a day-to-day basis, during the construction phase of the project
  • Effectively utilizing technical software and graphic tools; with required proficiency in Revit, some knowledge of SketchUp and AutoCAD, and competence in Adobe Creative Suite applications
  • Participating in firm-sponsored training and professional development activities

Business Development Manager
We are seeking a self-directed, growth-oriented Business Development Manager to expand specific market segments. Working with our market sector leaders, you will be responsible for leveraging the strength of our reputation and deep expertise in the higher education, science & technology, workplace, civic & community, and environmental learning market sectors. The role includes identifying new business opportunities and facilitating connections with potential clients to broaden Alliiance’s footprint within these market sectors.

 

Qualifications:

  • Increase visibility of the firm in targeted market areas (higher education, science & technology, workplace, civic & community, and environmental learning) through relevant industry networking, tradeshows/conferences, and speaking or publication opportunities.
  • Develop a business development strategy and plan with market sector leadership that acknowledges key current clients and portfolio as well as targets new clients and markets.
  • Research target markets to generate leads, build new relationships with decision makers and/or partners, and understand competition.
  • Identify decision-makers within prospective client organizations and establish meaningful contact through cold calling, emails, social networking, and meetings.
  • Gather intelligence, analyze data, and create and execute business development plans based on the data.
  • Proactively develop and maintain relationships and pursue opportunities for additional business with existing clients.
  • Collaborate with marketing team on proposal responses, tradeshows, conferences, and other marketing-related collateral.
  • Document and quantify results of business development activities, e.g. number of leads, number of new connections in targeted market sectors.

 

Design Architect
We seek a creative, energetic architectural designer who is passionate about design to join our multi-studio practice. Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited architecture program with 2-10 years of experience and licensure in process or completed.

 

Our architectural designers work in conjunction with lead designers, establishing design concepts, planning and laying-out projects, and creatively solving functional and spatial project requirements.

 

Working in a collaborative team setting we value spirited designers who are – or strive to become – knowledgeable about planning best practices, the importance of integrating systems and infrastructure in design, who are interested in the integration of materials, assemblies, and detailing, and who have an ability to ground design ideas in broader knowledge and experience.

 

Architectural designer involvement continues throughout all the project phases to develop and detail the design.

 

Excellent communication skills and the effective use of graphic and visualization tools are essential. Participation in business development activities and design presentations in collaboration with other project leaders is likely.

 

Primary Roles and Responsibilities include:

  • Working closely, on a day-to-day basis, with the lead designer, project manager, and other team members to develop graphic and written design solutions for client approval
  • Creating project visuals including renderings and diagrams, during the design phases
  • Researching and evaluating project context, including site, surrounding buildings and urban planning
  • Evaluating projects in the context of relevant local, state, and federal regulations
  • Analyzing and selecting building materials and systems for projects
  • Communicating design related topics and decisions to the design team and the client
  • Assisting with project presentations to the client and others as required
  • Effectively utilizing software and graphic tools; with required proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and Enscape, some knowledge of AutoCAD, competence in Adobe Creative Suite applications, and Grasshopper and Rhino experience is desired

Interior Designer
We are seeking a creative, energetic interior designer who is passionate about design to join our multi-studio practice. Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited interior design program with a minimum of 5 years of experience. NCIDQ certification desired. Professional growth opportunities are available in multiple practice areas.

 

Our interior designers work in conjunction with the project team; establishing design concepts and creatively solving functional, finish, and spatial project requirements. Interior designer involvement continues throughout the project duration to conceive and evolve the interior design. Strong communication skills and the effective use of graphic and visualization tools are essential. Participation in business development activities and design presentations in collaboration with other project leaders is likely.

 

The Interior Designer will have the day-to-day responsibility for the interior design aspects of the project including:

  • Communicate design issues and decisions related to the project
  • Participate in project presentations to the client and others as required
  • Work closely, on a day-to-day basis, with the design lead, senior interior designer, and other team members
  • Develop and document the programming and space planning requirements
  • Research, select, and integrate appropriate finish and material selections that comprise the overall design palette of the project
  • Research, select, and specify appropriate furniture, fixtures, and equipment for the project and assist the client with the procurement
  • Develop and review the interior design aspects of the project throughout all phases of the project
  • Meet established project budgets and schedules
  • Effectively utilize technical software and graphic tools with required proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite applications
  • Participate in firm-sponsored training and professional development activities
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders through flexible work arrangements

 

Required Experience:

  • Primary business development experience within the A &E industry.
  • 5-10+ years of relevant business development experience in higher education, science & technology, workplace, civic & community, and environmental learning market sectors.
  • Ability to travel to a regional territory of states along with overnight stays.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. Collaborative and able to work with a wide spectrum of personalities. Comfortable in both leader and team-player roles.
  • Self-motivated, self-directed with outstanding written and oral communication abilities and excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.

 

Lab Planner
We are looking for an experienced Lab Planner with Life Science, Pharma, Food, and Medical Device experience to lead the definition, analysis, programming and planning efforts for Science + Technology projects. Candidates must have minimum 8 years of experience in the architectural field with Life Science, Pharma, Food, and Medical Device experience, graduate of an accredited architecture program and licensure in process or completed.

Candidate will have a minimum of 10 years architectural experience with high tech, semiconductor and/or electrical technology and graduate of an accredited architectural program with licensure in progress or completed.

  • Collaborate with team regarding architectural methods and practices
