Greg has worked as a project manager, project architect, terminal planner, and project designer on a range of projects, principally focusing on aviation and large-scale public projects, including Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. He has a proven track record leading multi-disciplinary teams through all aspects of design and construction. He is passionate and knowledgeable about sustainable design, integrating it with practical high-quality architectural design.
Greg serves as Alliiance’s Sustainable Design Director and has been at the forefront of Alliiance’s sustainability efforts since the mid-1990s. He is a member of the Minnesota chapter of the US Green Building Council, and was Alliiance’s first LEED Accredited Professional, captaining the effort to certify other Alliiance staff members as LEED APs.
Greg is a member of the Great Lakes chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives and has helped author national guidelines on the design of emergency operations centers at airports. He holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Minnesota, and while a student, visited China just as it was opening to outside travelers. One of the interpreters for that group of architecture students was a young woman who caught Greg’s eye. They eventually married and have been together for more than 30 years.
