Architect / Project Architect
We are seeking creative, energetic team players who are passionate about design to grow our multi-studio practice. Candidates must be graduates of accredited architecture programs with 3-10 years of experience and licensure in process or completed. Professional growth opportunities are available in our aviation, academic, civic/cultural, lifestyle, and workplace studios. Strong communication skills and a sound working knowledge of architecture principles are essential.

 

Primary Roles and Responsibilities include:

  • Working closely, on a day-to-day basis, with the project designer, project manager, and other team members
  • Developing project documents during the design, bidding, and construction phases
  • Coordinating the drawing work of the design team
  • Coordinating the efforts of the specialized consultants
  • Communicating the project related issues and decisions to the client
  • Assisting with project presentations to the client and others as required
  • Meeting established project budgets and schedules
  • Implementing the project quality control measures
  • Coordinating with the construction team, on a day-to-day basis, during the construction phase of the project

Interior Designer
We are seeking a creative, energetic interior designer who is passionate about design to join our multi-studio practice. Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited interior design program with a minimum of 3 years of experience. NCIDQ certification desired. Professional growth opportunities are available in multiple practice areas.

 

Our interior designers work in conjunction with the project team; establishing design concepts and creatively solving functional, finish, and spatial project requirements. Interior designer involvement continues throughout the project duration to conceive and evolve the interior design. Strong communication skills and the effective use of graphic and visualization tools are essential. Participation in business development activities and design presentations in collaboration with other project leaders is likely.

 

The Interior Designer will have the day-to-day responsibility for the interior design aspects of the project including:

  • Communicate design issues and decisions related to the project
  • Participate in project presentations to the client and others as required
  • Work closely, on a day-to-day basis, with the design lead, senior interior designer, and other team members
  • Develop and document the programming and space planning requirements
  • Research, select, and integrate appropriate finish and material selections that comprise the overall design palette of the project
  • Research, select, and specify appropriate furniture, fixtures, and equipment for the project and assist the client with the procurement
  • Develop and review the interior design aspects of the project throughout all phases of the project

Design Researcher

Required Experience

  • Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification (EDAC)
  • Ability to conduct advanced statistical analysis with R, PowerBI, or SPSS

Marketing Coordinator
The Marketing Coordinator will work with, and report directly to, the Marketing Manager as well as working with the firm’s leadership. We are seeking a person with effective project time management skills and with strong organizational abilities who is detail orientated. Working independently as well as part of a team, this person should have excellent verbal and visual/graphic skills. Works independently in many situations. Understands our business and our messages.

 

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Assists with, or leads preparation of, proposal materials including establishing production schedule, gathering, writing, editing, verifying, and formatting proposals
  • Ensures that schedules are met and that all the various aspects of the proposals (Technical Scope, Staff Qualification and Experience, Biographical Data, etc.) and other marketing materials are accurate and delivered in a timely manner
  • Assists with, or leads preparation of, graphics and hand-out materials for presentations and interviews
  • Performs market, client, and project research in support of strategic planning and positioning efforts
  • Prepares and produces sales, business development, and project pursuit support materials such as brochures, presentations, articles, etc.
  • Supports business development staff in administrative functions (e.g., meeting minutes, file maintenance, etc.)
  • Coordinates presence at events such as trade shows, conferences, conventions, etc.
  • Coordinates aspects of client events
  • Prepares and distributes press releases, branding literature, award submittals, surveys, and other public relations related materials
  • Works with the Marketing Manager on content development for social media
  • Updates marketing collateral, project profiles, and project database
  • Assists with project photography

Graphic Designer
We are seeking a highly skilled graphic designer to assist in visual communications. This position is an essential role in communicating the firm’s brand and commitment to design excellence, both internally and externally.

 

Strong visual design and typographic skills are required to create and execute creative solutions. Work will range from task-based opportunities to highly collaborative team efforts. Applicants must be passionate about design and clearly communicating ideas visually. The graphic designer will work with and report directly to the Marketing Manager as well as work with other key stakeholders. This person must have effective time management skills to produce original content in a variety of formats. The graphic designer must be able to work independently and with a team, enjoy a fast-paced work environment, and have the ability to take abstract ideas and communicate them clearly.

 

Basic Skills Required:

  • Strong graphic design and typographical skills
  • Ability to take projects from start to finish with minimal supervision
  • Ability to translate creative direction
  • Interpret and champion internal and client brand guidelines
  • Ability to create a variety of print, digital, and nontraditional creative solutions

Responsibilities:

  • Support firmwide initiatives and graphic needs, including interview prep and presentations, proposal graphics, graphic standards, and other visual communication needs.
  • Create graphics for external communications, such as newsletters, press releases, social media, and website.
  • Interpret expertise and research into graphics and presentations for use in conference presentations, booth exhibits, brochures, etc.
  • Assist in graphic development of awards submissions.
  • Develop original content for project client presentations and infographics
  • Lead compilation of reports and other project related documents with team leaders.

Qualifications:

  • 4 year college degree and/or equivalent experience
  • 3-7 years professional related experience, preferably within architectural practice, although not required
  • A portfolio demonstrating excellence in graphic design, typography, and illustration of ideas and concepts into simple infographics
  • Effective visual and verbal presentation skills
  • Excellent relational intelligence with strong listening skills
  • Open to internal and client critique, feedback, and the ability to interpret design direction
  • Action oriented with ability to prioritize and drive results
  • A self-starter able to deal with change
  • Solid understanding of graphic design and layout programs including: Bluebeam, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, etc.
